Call for contributions for a book on the results of the Erasmus+ and Tempus projects

Erasmus+ in Morocco: international cooperation for innovative and inclusive Higher Education

About the book

The Erasmus+ program is the EU’s program to support education, training, youth, and sport. It is an important instrument of cooperation with the EU and the rest of the world, promoting the mobility of individuals, exchanges, and capacity building of institutions in higher education.

During the period 2014-2020, 43 capacity-building projects in higher education institutions involving Moroccan institutions have been co-financed in specific themes of modernization of curricula and pedagogical practices, modernization of governance of higher education policies and institutions, promotion of relations between higher education systems and the socio-economic and cultural world, and improvement of quality within training and research institutions. The Erasmus+ program was preceded by the Tempus program aimed at supporting the modernization of higher education systems in the countries of the Mediterranean, Central and Eastern Europe, South-Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
The Tempus program has funded, during the period 2004-2014, 121 projects involving Morocco.
Regarding international mobility, nearly 10,000 Erasmus grants have been awarded to Moroccan higher education institutions since 2014, half for students and half for professors and administrative staff.  Volunteering has allowed more than 7000 young Moroccans and Europeans to rub shoulders and collaborate in Morocco and Europe around projects that serve the community.
The valorization of the results of the projects is a major stake of the Erasmus+ program for the visibility of the program, in order to make known its results and its beneficial effects to all the stakeholders and to the broad public. It is also a good means for the exploitation, transferability, and sustainability of project results and therefore the amplification of the impact of the program. For the partners involved in the projects, the valorization of the results by the publication of a relevant production resulting from the project is also a tool for the dissemination on a large scale of the results of an ongoing or finalized project.
In order to contribute to the dissemination of the results of Erasmus+ projects and their valorization, the Erasmus Morocco national office is launching a call for contributions for the edition of a book focusing on the valorization of the results of Erasmus+ projects involving Moroccan institutions (capacity building projects, mobility projects or those falling within the Jean Monnet activities) and Tempus.
